Canyon Unveils “Predict” AI-Equipped Bike and Smart Helmet Concept at Eurobike

Canyon introduces a prototype bike with full‑360° sensors and an AR helmet aiming to shift cycling safety from reactive to predictive, unveiled at Eurobike 2026.

Canyon has revealed a forward‑thinking safety concept at Eurobike 2026: the “Canyon Predict” road bike paired with the Stingr Smart augmented‑reality helmet. Built to anticipate hazards with advanced technology, the system brings a new level of intelligent protection to riders.

The Canyon Predict bike is equipped with a 360‑degree sensor array capable of detecting road hazards, monitoring surrounding traffic, tracking group‑ride dynamics, and recognizing surface changes—all before the rider becomes aware of them. Integrated into a sleek carbon frame is a handlebar‑mounted data display, ensuring real‑time insights stay within view.

The Stingr Smart helmet complements the bike with its own innovation: a drop‑down visor housing a heads‑up display. Together, the bike and helmet create a connected system, shifting cycling safety from a reactive model—relying on reflectors and brakes—to a predictive one that informs and alerts the rider proactively.

This concept was introduced in Frankfurt during Eurobike, held June 24–27, 2026, where Canyon showcased the technology alongside other industry advancements. The integrated setup demonstrates how manufacturers are pushing boundaries to enhance rider awareness and safety using AI and AR tools.

While still a prototype, Canyon Predict signals where high‑end cycling safety gear may be headed: a move toward seamless, data‑driven systems that augment a rider’s perception without distracting from the ride. It underscores the growing role of smart technology in the future of cycling safety.
